National award winning director Aditya Dhar and Vicky Kaushal’s second project together- The Immortal Ashwatthama has got a new life. There were reports that the film is shelved due to creative differences between the director and the producer and it will not see the light of release, but according to a latest report, The Immortal Ashwatthama is finally revived after multiple delays.

According to Box Office Worldwide, Aditya Dhar has been allotted a massive budget of 600 crores for The Immortal Ashwatthama and the shooting of the film will kick start from July 6. The team is now all set to start shooting with a 65-day schedule in Kazakhstan, followed by a 26-day schedule in Dubai.

If the above mentioned budget turns out to be true, then it will be the most expensive Bollywood film of all time. The film was announced two years back with Vicky Kaushal in lead role, but was delayed again and again due to the COVID-19 pandemic and budget issues. But there is still an uncertainty regarding Vicky Kaushal playing the main lead.

Just a month ago, there were media reports that Jio Studios has taken over the project and they are not confident with Vicky Kaushal’s pull of audience and they are looking for replacement. Samantha is the leading lady and Jio Studios is fine about her. She is safe, so far.
