Kaamyaab
The Sanjay Mishra starrer Kaamyaab is one of the gems of 2020. The film released earlier this year but the masses seemed to have overlooked it because it wasn’t star-studded. The movie is an ode to sidekicks in the big-budget Bollywood movies. It shows a heartbreaking journey of a junior artist trying to make it big in B-Town. You will definitely shed a tear or two after watching Kaamyaab.
Shikara
The Vidhu Vinod Chopra movie Shikara is also a 2020 movie that didn’t garner the much-deserved praise. While critics loved it, the audience didn’t give it much love. It is set against the backdrop of the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits. The love story will definitely make you grab a tissue box.
Chhalaang
The Rajkummar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha starrer Chhalaang recently released on Amazon Prime Video. The comedy-drama movie has a simple plot line but with an important message in the end. Set in the backdrop of Haryana, the movie also talks about patriarchy but not makes it heavy. Chhalaang is worth a watch.
Chintu Ka Birthday
Chintu Ka Birthday is a small budget comedy-drama movie starring Vinay Pathak and a few other big names. The plot of the film revolves around a 6-year old boy who is stuck in Iraq with his family, during Saddam’s fall in April 2014. It is a heart-warming yet comedy movie. It is underrated and deserves appreciation.
Khuda Hafiz
The Vidyut Jammwal starrer Khuda Haafiz has a cult following. While many enjoyed the action-thriller movie, others seemed to have overlooked it. The movie is Vidyut’s one of the brilliant performances. It is a weekend watch movie and will keep you glued to the screen.
