Did You Know The Final Mix Of Salman Khan’s ‘Oh-Oh-Oh Jaane-Jaana’ Was Deleted, And Music Composer Used Rough Mix For The Song?

Renowned music composer Lalit Pandit revealed this in an exclusive interview with Lehren.

Salman Khan has several chartbusters to his name, and one of them is his iconic shirtless song, “Oh-Oh-Oh Jaane-Jaana,” from the 1998 film “Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya.” The song became a massive hit, and to this day, it can be heard at clubs and weddings.

However, did you know that the final mix of the song was deleted, and the rough mix was used in the final version? Renowned music composer Lalit Pandit revealed this in an exclusive interview with Lehren.

“Jo original tracks the, woh records ke liye final mix hone se pehle delete ho gaye the, to uska kuch kar hi nahi sakte the. Uska jo shoot mix hai, wohi rough mix humne banaya tha shoot karne ke liye. Wahi gaana humne final mein bheja tha, to woh gaana final kabhi mix hua hi nahi. Magar rough mix bhi uska itna accha tha ke ab tak wahi baj raha hai. Wahi bahut bada hit hai (The original tracks that were supposed to be used for the final mix were accidentally deleted before they could be finalized, so there was no way to recover them. We ended up using the rough mix that we had created for the shoot. Surprisingly, the rough mix turned out to be so good that it has been playing as is all these years. It became a huge hit),” shared Lalit Pandit.

The song of the movie was sung by Kamal Khan.

Earlier, Salman Khan disclosed the story of how “Oh-Oh Jaane-Jaana” was initially rejected by music companies during his appearance on the singing reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.’ Salman explained, “I had this song on a CD for almost six years, and it was rejected by several prominent music companies at that time. I loved the song so much that I decided to use it for my upcoming film ‘Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya’ and told Sohail that we should include this song in our movie.”

He also shared an interesting anecdote about shooting the song shirtless, saying, “We were filming this song on Madh Island, and our dress designer was Vikram Phadnis. I had gained muscle at that time, and the shirt he designed for me fit like a blouse. We had to send it back for alterations, but it was taking too long. That’s when I asked Sohail if we should shoot this song without a shirt. Sohail wasn’t very sure, but when we saw it on the monitor, he said, ‘Let’s do it,’ and that’s how I shot this song shirtless,” he concluded.
