Sidharth Malhotra is all set to make his OTT debut with Rohit Shetty’s upcoming cop-action Drama Series on Amazon Prime. The first look of the series was unveiled today, April 20. Sidharth Malhotra and Rohit Shetty took to social media and dropped the first teaser of their upcoming series.
The teaser begins with Rohit travelling in a police car. He then tests a gun and fires some shots. Later, the video shares a glimpse of Sidharth Malhotra walking with his intense cop avatar. He can be seen donning the uniform once again after Shershaah. The actor captioned his post saying, “When @itsrohitshetty sir says Action, you know he literally means it! Super stoked to enter the cop universe with the action king himself!”.
To which actress Shilpa Shetty praised his look with her comment that read, “@sidmalhotra Ufff!!” with fire emojis. The actor earlier made an official announcement about entering the Rohit Shetty’s cop universe by posting his picture on Tuesday, April 19 featuring his cop look from the movie on his Instagram account.
While the teaser was also shared on filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s and Amazon Prime social media accounts. “INDIAN POLICE FORCE in Our cop universe goes digital And when we go Digital it has to be BIG. Proud to bring you India’s biggest Action series on Amazon prime. #FilmingNow,” Rohit Shetty wrote while dropping the teaser. The eight-part high-octane action series also marks the digital debut of filmmaker Rohit Shetty, who is known for his action entertainers like Singham, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi.
Speaking in his recent interview about his digital debut with Indian Police Force, the filmmaker said “Indian Police Force is a very special one for me and I’ve been working on it for years. I’m delighted to be collaborating with Amazon Prime Video to breathe life into this story which will transcend geographies and linguistic barriers, providing me an opportunity to showcase the same to audiences worldwide. I am super excited to be working with the amazingly talented Sidharth Malhotra in this series. I have always strived to push the envelope of action-first entertainment and with this series, I am confident we will create a new benchmark.”
Meanwhile, actor Sidharth Malhotra has a number of other projects lined up. The actor will soon be seen in Mission Majnu along with Pushpa star Rashmika Mandanna. He also has Karan Johar’s ‘Yodha’ in his queue starring Disha Patani in the lead. Sidharth has also been working on ‘Thank God’ along with Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh.
