Dhadkan is one of the best films of Shilpa Shetty. It’s been 23 years, but the film is still remembered for its iconic songs and dialogues. Shilpa Shetty played an emotional role where she had to let go of her love and have an arranged marriage after her father blackmails her. Shilpa played the love interest of Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar in the film. This morning, Shilpa recreated a scene from the film while in a supermarket. However, she gave it a modern and satirical twist.
Through an Instagram reel, Shilpa addressed the surging prices of tomatoes in India. In the video, Shilpa can be seen picking up a tomato and then the dialogue plays, “How dare you? Khabardaar jo mujhe choone ki koshih ki. Kis haq se tumne mujhe chua?” Shilpa then keeps the tomato back. In the film, Shilpa was seen saying this to Akshay Kumar.
Sharing this video, Shilpa wrote in the caption, “Tamatar ke prices are raising my Dhadkan.”
Some fans loved this twist while others were shocked that Shilpa is also affected by the surge in tomato prices. A user wrote, “Are dekho iski himmat aapki aawaz me aap pe hi chilla rahi he.”
Someone commented, “aapke saath bhi tamatar aisa kr skta h socha nhi tha kbhi.”
However, an Internet user pointed out that this video is from London and not from India. The person wrote, “It’s just written 89p. You are shopping in UK. That’s wrong.”
On the work front, Shilpa is currently shooting for India’s Got Talent season 10, where she appears as a judge.
