Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ Dominates Box Office With Staggering Rs 53.00 Cr On Day Two, Outshines Gadar 2 And Jailer

Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan” is roaring at the box office and earning big. On the second day, the movie raked in a staggering Rs 53.00 Cr. In just two days, the film entered the 100 crore club, as it earned Rs 75 crore on the first day.

Comparatively, Sunny Deol’s “Gadar 2,” which is still running in theaters and has been a massive hit at the box office, collected Rs 43 crore on its second day, while Rajinikanth’s “Jailer” earned Rs 25.75 Cr on its second day.

Apart from this, Shah Rukh’s “Pathaan,” released in the same year and achieved blockbuster status, earned Rs 70 crore on its second day. This showcases the power of King Khan, as both his movies collected huge sums at the box office.

Speaking about the movie, “Jawan” also features Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, and Aaliyah Qureshi, who are part of the women’s squad supporting Shah Rukh Khan. The film is described as a high-octane thriller outlining the story of a man who is set out to correct the wrongs of society.

Earlier on Thursday, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his gratitude to fans, saying, “Wow, I have to take time out and thank each and every Fan Club and all of you who have gone so happily to the theaters and even outside. I am so overwhelmed and will surely do the needful as soon as I catch my breath in a day or so. Uff!! Love you for loving #Jawan,” he wrote.

The actor also acknowledged his fans who thronged Mumbai’s iconic Gaiety Galaxy theatre at 6 a.m. to watch the first-day-first-show. He wrote, “Love you, boys and girls. I hope you enjoy the entertainment. I stayed awake to see you go to the theater. Big love and thanks.”
