Lehren poll on social media had around 1700 users voting in total, with Ranbir Kapoor’s 'Animal' garnering more than 60 percent of votes, reflecting a majority expressing fervor in its favor.

The upcoming month is primed to deliver a cinematic extravaganza, with the highly anticipated releases of Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ and Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Sam Bahadur,’ both scheduled for a head-to-head clash on December 1st.

Amidst the buzz surrounding these films, their trailers have made a significant splash on YouTube. ‘Animal’ seems to have an edge in views, but the early statistics are hardly definitive indicators of the movies’ ultimate success or failure.

This scenario of simultaneous releases isn’t new to Bollywood. The past witnessed a parallel situation with ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘OMG 2,’ both debuting together. Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ struck gold as a box office juggernaut, while Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’ also held its ground, performing decently.

A recent Lehren poll on social media had around 1700 users voting in total, with Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ garnering more than 60 percent of votes, reflecting a majority expressing fervor in its favor. Conversely, ‘Sam Bahadur’ lagged in votes, with only 15 percent of users expressing excitement for the movie, while a fraction of users exhibited disinterest in both films.

The true litmus test for ‘Animal’ and ‘Sam Bahadur’ lies in the box office reception following their theatrical runs. Early reports tilt favorably towards ‘Animal,’ which outstripped ‘Sam Bahadur’ in advance bookings. Sachnik reports detailed ‘Animal’ selling 228,275 tickets across Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages, whereas ‘Sam Bahadur’ secured 20,177 tickets on its inaugural day.

‘Animal’ boasts a cast including Bobby Deol, Ranbir Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna, directed by Sanddep Reddy Vanga. Conversely, ‘Sam Bahadur’ stars Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanya Malhotra, under the direction of Meghna Gulzar.

Clashes at the box office often bear a dual impact, potentially influencing the business of both films. Yet, for audiences, these confrontations offer a wider spectrum of entertainment choices, promising a diverse cinematic experience.
