Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ Was Shot In Rs 800 Crore Palace, Read To Know More

Ranbir Kapoor’s movie 'Animal' was filmed in the majestic Pataudi Palace, owned by Saif Ali Khan. This historical and opulent palace served as one of the prominent shooting locations for the film, adding an aura of regality to its visuals.

Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol are geared up for their upcoming movie ‘Animal,’ and both actors are leaving no stone unturned in promoting the film. The recently launched trailer made a massive impact on the audience. In it, we catch glimpses of the grand house as a backdrop.

However, not many know that parts of the movie were filmed at Saif Ali Khan’s ancestral home, known as Pataudi Palace. Makeup artist Anam Khan shared behind-the-scenes pictures from the sets on her Instagram account.

In these images, both Ranbir and Anil Kapoor sport a clean-shaven look, dressed in all-black attire. Anil wears a black shirt and pants, while Ranbir opts for a black t-shirt and trousers, holding a bowl in his hand. Interestingly, the female lead, Rashmika Mandanna, was missing from the shared picture.

Speaking of the Pataudi Palace, it is situated in the Gurgaon district of Haryana and holds a significant historical background. Constructed by Iftikhar Ali Khan, the last ruling Nawab of Pataudi, for his wife from the royal family of Bhopal.

According to reports from Hindustan Times, the palace is valued at Rs 800 crore. An epitome of royalty, the Pataudi Palace boasts expansive gardens, a large swimming pool, farm areas, stables, and around 150 rooms. This includes seven bedrooms, dressing rooms, billiards rooms, as well as lavish dining halls and drawing rooms.

After Saif Ali Khan regained ownership, he engaged Mumbai-based architect and interior designer Darshini Shah to refurbish parts of the palace to evoke a homely feel, totaling 150 rooms.

Saif and his family often spend quality time at the palace, hosting parties for friends. Additionally, several movies, such as ‘Mangal Pandey,’ ‘Veer Zara,’ ‘Gandhi: My Father,’ ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan,’ ‘Tandav,’ and more, have been filmed there.

Meanwhile, ‘Animal’ is scheduled for release on December 1.
