Ranbir Kapoor Starrer “Ramayana” To Be Co-Produced By Warner Bros?

The producer of the "Ramayana" project is aiming to secure Warner Brothers' involvement as a producer for the film.

“Ramayana” has emerged as one of the most talked-about Indian projects, following in the footsteps of acclaimed titles like “Kalki 2898 AD” and “Pushpa 2.” Produced by Namit Malhotra’s DNEG Studios in collaboration with Nitesh Tiwari, the film has now welcomed Yash as a co-producer. It will be presented as a trilogy, with the first installment concluding with the abduction of Maa Sita. Filming for “Ramayana” has commenced at Mumbai’s Film City, where leaked images of Arun Govil as Dasharath and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi have already excited fans. Recent reports suggest that Warner Bros may join as a co-producer for the project.

According to Pinkvilla, Namit Malhotra is in talks with Warner Brothers to secure a deal for the entire “Ramayana” trilogy. With aspirations to create a visual spectacle and craft a truly global cinematic experience, the makers are striving to bring the story to international audiences.

Reports suggest that all actors are giving their utmost dedication to the project, aiming to present it at an international standard. Budget constraints are not a concern for the makers, who are fully committed to realizing their vision for the film. Namit Malhotra’s objective is to ensure that “Ramayana” receives optimal international distribution and marketing support, and Warner Brothers’ involvement could significantly contribute to this goal.

A source revealed to Pinkvilla, “The plans out in the market are just the tip of the iceberg, as Ramayana is a 100% made-in-India film of an Indian Story aiming at Global Domination.”
