Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is on a movie spree promoting Shamshera, gearing up for the much-anticipated Brahmastra with his wife Alia Bhat. The actor is also shooting for Luv Ranjan’s next with Shraddha Kapoor in Mauritius. While he is busy promoting Shamshera, the Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani actor revealed his childhood dreams. Ranbir unveiled that he wished to become Amitabh Bachchan but when he grew up the actor aimed to become Shah Ruk Khan.
Ranbir comes from a filmy background that has benefited the industry for ages. The Kapoor Khandaan has been connected to Bollywood since the long-serving Prithviraj Kapoor and all the generations of the family have contributed to the industry with their brilliant acting skills and production work. Coming from veteran Prithviraj Kapoor to Raj Kapoor followed by Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor then the legacy was taken by children Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Karishma Kapoor. Looking at the family background it was confirmed that the children of Kapoor Khandaan will wish to become an actor at a young age.
Ranbir Kapoor returned to the silver screen four years after delivering the blockbuster Sanju. The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor opened on actors he grew up looking at. In the second episode of Yash Raj Films’ candid video series titled ‘RK Tapes’ Ranbir spoke about his Hindi film heroes. He said: “I wanted to be Amitabh Bachchan. When I grew up, I wanted to be Shah Rukh Khan! Finally, I had to be Ranbir Kapoor”.
He continued: “By the time I grew up these Hindi Film heroes had become my real life heroes. Everything I did, how I dressed, how I spoke, subconsciously in everything I did was inspired by my heroes. But strangely enough, when I became an actor, I wasn’t choosing the kind of films my heroes would choose. So I may have satisfied the actor in me, but when I look back at that 12- year-old, Hindi Film Hero obsessed Ranbir, I feel he still has to fulfill his dream.”
The extravagant movie Shamshera is slated to release on July 22, 2022. The upcoming period drama also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in leading roles. The action film is directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films.
