Actress Rakul Preet Singh appeared before the Narcotics Control Bureau on Friday, she was interrogated for about 4 hours. The actress who has been friends with Rhea Chakraborty in the past was asked about the string of text exchange about a doob with the late actor’s girlfriend.
For the unknown, Rakul Preet Singh’s name surfaced in the drug conspiracy angle involved in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, after a string of text exchange between her and Rhea went viral on the internet. Following the incident, the actress was sent summon by the drug control agency.
The Yaariyan actress was interrogated by NCB for about 4 hours. During the questioning, she was asked about the meaning of ‘doob’ in the chat exchange with Rhea Chakraborty.
As per the information given to the Mumbai Mirror by an NCB official, Rakul Preet Singh reportedly explained that the meaning of ‘doob’ is hand-rolled cigarettes and not drugs.
On the other hand, during Rhea Chakraborty’s interrogation, the actress allegedly revealed that the meaning of ‘doob’ is marijuana.
However, Rakul Preet Singh brushed off and denied that the meaning of ‘doob’ was some illegal substance.
The actress further adds that she hasn’t been in touch with Rhea for over the past few years. Rakul allegedly confessed to not have any involvement in the consumption or procurement of any type of drug.
Apart from Rakul, Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma also underwent interrogation by the NCB. Even she allegedly said that the meaning of ‘doob’ is hand-rolled cigarettes.
Today, actress Deepika Padukone will be questioned by the NCB. It is for her alleged involvement in the drug chat exchange related to drugs.
The actress flew back to Mumbai from Goa on Thursday night. She was accompanied by her husband Ranveer Singh.
