Businessman Raj Kundra, husband of actress Shilpa Shetty, has made a return to Instagram after a two-year hiatus following his bail in the porn film case. Kundra had deleted his social media accounts after his release from jail, where he spent nearly two months following his arrest in July 2021.
A devoted Lord Ganesha follower, Raj Kundra chose to mark his comeback on Instagram during Ganesh Chaturthi. In his first post, he offered a glimpse of his family’s Ganpati celebrations at home. He shared a video capturing him and his family members performing aarti and offering prayers to Lord Ganesha.
“Jai Shri Ganesh he’s BACK! Well-wishers, your love makes me stronger, haters, your hate makes me unstoppable! Karma is efficient; I am just being patient Ganpati Bappa Morya!!!! Happy Ganesh Chaturthi,” Raj captioned the post.
Shilpa Shetty commented, “Stay blessed and protected always,” while Shamita Shetty wrote, “Love u jiju.” Raj’s mother-in-law, Sunanda Shetty, warmly welcomed him back to Instagram.
Raj and Shilpa have a tradition of welcoming Lord Ganesha into their home every year, and this time was no different. On September 19, several celebrities visited their home to seek Lord Ganesha’s blessings.
Since his arrest, Raj Kundra had maintained a low profile, both in the media and on social media. He frequently wore masks when appearing in public, explaining last year that it was to avoid giving the media a chance to photograph him. He expressed his disappointment with the media trial he had gone through and stated that the media is not above the law.
