2022 has been a fascinating year when it comes to entertainment. Several Hindi films that were on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic are finally releasing in theatres. Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 hit the theatres on May 20 and recently entered the 100 crore club. Kartik’s film has left Kagana Ranaut’ ‘Dhaakad’ and Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Anek’ far behind in the number game. Amidst these mega films, TVF released the second season of Panchayat. It is a light-hearted series featuring Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Chandan Roy and Faisal Malik. And guess what? Panchayat has beaten Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 when it comes to IMDb rating.

Meanwhile, three mega films have been released today. Bollywood film ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ has clashed with Telugu film ‘Major’ and Tamil film ‘Vikram’.
Samrat Prithviraj IMDb Rating: Although it’s the first day of release and it’s too early to say, Panchayat has defeated Samrat Prithviraj too. The film is rated 7.9 on IMDb on the first day of its release. Historial film Samrat Prithviraj features Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chhillar, Sanjay Dutt, Ashutosh Rana and Sonu Sood.
It would be now interesting to see if Samrat Prithviraj IMDb rating sees a jump over the weekend as more people would head to theatres to watch the magnum opus.
Talking about Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Dhaakad’, the film is rated 5.6 while Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Anek’ is rated 7.4 out of 10.
