Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 and Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, two of this year’s most-awaited films by popular actors, finally hit theatres yesterday. Day 1’s box office collections have come out, and Gadar 2 has beaten its tally, leaving behind OMG 2.
Gadar2 starrer Sunny Deol:
As reported by Sacnilk.com, Gadar 2 earned an estimated ₹40 crore nett within India on its opening day. The film achieved a notable 60.81 percent occupancy in the Hindi market on Friday.
Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2, released 23 years after Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, the romantic-action drama set during the partition of India. The movie created history at the box office and was released in 2001.
OMG 2 Starrer Akshay Kumar:
As per reports from Sacnilk.com, early estimates stated that OMG 2 had a net collection of ₹9.50 crore on its first day in India. The film, on Friday, achieved a combined Hindi occupancy rate of 37.53 percent. The movie was released in cinema halls and serves as a sequel to the earlier Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar.
