Not Ranveer Singh But KGF Star Yash To Play “Dev” In Brahmastra 2?

Brahmastra: There has been a lot of debate around Brahmastra’s character “Dev”. From Ranveer Singh to Hrithik Roshan many Bollywood celebrities have often been rumored to essay the role of “Dev” in the second installment of Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra. While the latest celebrity who is now rumored of having been approached by the makers for the role of “dev” is the KGF actor Yash. Here’s all that we know-

KGF Star Yash Approached To Play “Dev” In Brahmastra

If a Pinkvilla report is to be believed then the South superstar and KGF actor Yash was recently approached by the makers of Brahmastra to essay the role of Dev in the second installment of the film.

A source told the portal, “This is another epic tale of modern mythology, and he is offered to play the powerful character of Dev. Like every other project, this one is too in the list of the post KGF offers and he is expected to make up his mind by January 2023 i.e., his birthday,” 

Meanwhile, apart from Yash, many actors like Ranveer Singh and Hrithik Roshan were earlier rumored about playing the role of “Dev” in the sequel. However, during an interview, Vikram Vedha actor Hrithik Roshan was clearly seen denying the rumors about his appearance as “dev” in Brahmastra. While Ranveer Singh has neither confirmed nor denied any reports about playing “Dev” in Ayan Mukerji’s film.

Ayan Mukerji Opens Up About “Dev”

Opening up about the character “Dev” in Brahmastra 2, Ayan Mukerji told IndianExpress.com, “I can answer very few things about Dev. The idea was to create a very clear indication about where we are going next with the storytelling. That now we are really getting into the story of our antagonist. Decoding it, giving you some hook to hang on to for part two. Dev is the fulcrum of the entire Brahmastra trilogy.”

Meanwhile, as for the rumors about casting Hrithik Roshan or Ranveer Singh as “Dev” in the second installment, Ayan told News18, “I can’t reveal who Dev is. I have been reading a lot of names but it will be a mystery for a while.”
