You'll be shocked to know the name of the film that tops the list of Most anticipated Indian movies, and it's not Gadar 2, Animal or Salaar.

Several big-budget films are lined up for release in the second half of 2023. From Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol to Tiger Shroff and Ranbir Kapoor, several evergreen and young-age superstars have kept their fingers crossed to win the Box Office race. Gadar 2, Animal, Jawan, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, OMG 2 are some of the big films that will release this year. Recently, the Internet was talking about the big clash at the box office as OMG 2, Gadar 2 and Animal were slated to release on the same day, that is, August 11. However, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal release has now been pushed to December. Meanwhile, all eyes are on Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 and Karan Johar’s directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. But you’ll be shocked to know that none of these films tops the chart of most-anticipated films as per IMDb. And no, it isn’t even Prabhas starrer Salaar.

As per the updated list of IMDb, the most-anticipated film amongst the audience is 72 Hoorain. It is a small-budget film with no big star cast or backing of a big banner. It is directed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan and co-produced by Ashoke Pandit. The film stars Pavan Malhotra and Aamir Bashir in pivotal roles.

The film’s trailer was released recently and it received polarized reactions. While some are calling it a brave film, others have labeled it “Islamophobic” and “Propaganda film”. The film showcases how young boys are brainwashed and trained to do terror acts. The film is being compared to previously released “controversial” films The Kashmir Files and The Kerala Story.

72 Hoorain tops the chart of Most anticipated Indian movies and shows followed by Gadar 2. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is on no. 6 while Animal is on number 9.
