Mili Box Office Collection Day 5: Film Struggles To Survive At The Box Office

Janhvi Kapoor starrer Mili is struggling to maintain pace at the box office, the film has crossed the 2cr mark with its total box office collections.

Mili Box Office Collection: Janhvi Kapoor starrer survival thriller film “Mili” was released in the theatres on 4th November. The survival thriller was released alongside Katrina Kaif’s horror-comedy film Phone Bhoot and Huma Qureshi-Sonakshi Sinha starrer Double XL. However, despite opening up to positive reviews the film failed to attract the audience to theatres. Here’s how much Mili earned on its opening day at the box office-

Based on true events Mili is a survival drama of a nursing graduate who is stuck in a freezer struggling to survive and trying to find a way out. Janhvi Kapoor will be seen essaying the character of Mili Naudiyal in the film. Apart from Janhvi the movie also stars Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa in pivotal roles.

The survival drama opened up to positive reviews from the audience. However, it is now believed that despite having positive reviews the film failed to attract the audience to the theatres and failed terribly hard at the box office. As per the trade reports, the film earned 50 Lakhs on its opening day.

Janhvi Kapoor’s film did see growth during the weekend, the film earned 62 Lakhs on Saturday and 64 Lakhs on Sunday. The film further saw a huge drop on Monday as it barely managed to earn 29 Lakhs. However, the film did see a rise on Tuesday as it earned 35 Lakhs. The film now stands on a total of 2.40cr.

All About Janhvi Kapoor’s Film “Mili”

Mili is a remake of the Malayalam film Helen. The Hindi version also stars Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa. Mili is a survival thriller helmed by Mathukutty Xavier and bankrolled by Boney Kapoor. This marks the first collaboration of the father-daughter duo, Boney Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor never worked together before on the professional front. Mili was released in the theatres on 4th November.
