Luv Ranjan’s Upcoming Film ‘Wild Wild Punjab’ Will Be Released on This OTT Platform.

The film is set to be released this July starring Sunny Singh, Patralekhaa Paul, and Varun Sharma.

Pyaar ka Punchnama (2011) maker, Luv Ranjan, is back with his next film, Wild Wild Punjab. The film is officially set to be premiered on Netflix on 10th July 2024. This upcoming comedy-adventure film stars Sunny Singh, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh and Jassie Gill. The female cast of the film includes Patralekhaa Paul and Ishita Raj.

The plot is about the adventurous journey of four friends, Khanne (Varun Sharma) Arore (Sunny Singh), Jainu (Jassie Gill) and Honey Paaji (Manjot Singh), after one of them has a breakup. These friends motivate Khanne to move on and join him on a “break-up trip” across Punjab for closure. Sandeep Jain and Harman Wadala penned the screenplay and dialogues. And, the story is written by Luv Ranjan. He also produces the film along with Ankur Garg.

Wild Wild Punjab is directed by Simarpreet Singh, who is known for directing the TVF series, College Romance (2018), Dice Media’s Mini series Brochara (2019), and Chutzpah (2021) for Sony Liv. Singh recently directed the Amazon Mini TV series, Half Love Half Arranged in 2023 starring Karan Wahi, Maanvi Gagroo and Grusha Kapoor.

Earlier this year, the makers shared the teaser of the film on Netflix’s YouTube channel in which four friends embark on a wild journey to take revenge on the ex of one of them, which included lots of bloodshed, police encounters, and fights.

Luv Ranjan is known for working in rom-coms or romantic comedies. His filmography includes hits like Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011), Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (2015), Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018), and the recent one, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (2023). Ranjan’s films are noted for their witty dialogues and youth-centric themes. His 2018 “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety” was a commercial success, grossing over ₹100 crores. Ranjan’s films are celebrated for their fresh narrative style and strong box-office performances.
