Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar passed away at the age of 92 on 6 Feb 2022. She was cremated with full state honours at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. Many Bollywood celebs and political personalities attended her funeral and bid her a final goodbye.
Superstar Shahrukh Khan also arrived to pay his final tribute to the veteran singer. He was seen offering dua (prayer) and touching Mangeshkar’s feet as he paid his last respects in an emotional moment.
Apart from Shahrukh Khan, celebs like Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Shankar Mahadevan, Javed Akhtar, Madhur Bhandarkar, Anuradha Paudwal, Shraddha Kapoor were also present at the funeral. Several fans had also joined the procession of Lata Mangeshkar’s final journey.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also flew to Mumbai to pay his tribute to the late singer.
Lata Mangeshkar was diagnosed with COVID-19 and pneumonia a month ago. She was undergoing treatment at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital and was in ICU for the last many days. According to the doctors, she died due to multiple organ failure.
