This statement of hers got blown out of proportion into a kind of expose related much awaited Ranbir Alia wedding which got highlighted and even was carried by many renowned news channels and digital news portals as well claiming that Lara had ‘predicted’ Ranbir and Alia’s wedding date and so on and now finally Lara Dutta has given her honest reaction to the news reports about her prediction for both Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.
She took to her official social media handle on microblogging site Twitter and said that media has been unnecessarily outing words in her mouth and also did set the record straight by tweeting, “As lovely a couple as both these actors make, I’m certainly no seer or soothsayer to predict any such thing! Media needs to stop putting words in our mouth and coming up with completely nonsensical news”.
On a related note, last year during an interview with Rajeev Masand, Ranbir had opened up about his wedding plans with Alia wherein the Sanju (2019) actor said that had it not been for the coronavirus pandemic, he would have gotten married and explaining the same, he had said, “I don’t want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick mark that goal very soon in my life” and we think that this is reason why Lara made this ‘prediction’.
