Bollywood couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were seen appearing as the first guests on Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan season 8. During their chat show host Karan Johar was seen revealing that he had an “attack” during the launch event of NMACC. He reveals that actor Varun Dhawan helped him during the time.
Karan Johar Reveals He Had An “Attack” At NMACC Launch
In the latest episode of Koffee With Karan 8, the filmmaker and show host revealed during his conversation with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh that he had an “anxiety attack” at the launch event of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in April this year.
After Deepika Padukone talked about her mental health issues, Karan Johar also came out and praised the actress for being vocal about the same. He said that he wouldn’t have understood her situation if he hadn’t experienced the same for himself. Karan then revealed that had a legit attack at the NMACC event.
Karan revealed that Varun Dhawan noticed that he was sweating a lot so he asked him if he was okay, he then took him to an empty room. Karan said that he was shaking a lot and thought that if he was having a cardiac arrest, soon after he went back home and started crying. Karan further revealed that he went to his psychologist after that who put him on medication which he’s still taking.
Ranveer Singh Talks About Deepika Padukone’s Mental Health
Apart from Karan, Deepika also talked about her mental health. Recalling an incident from 2014 when Deepika called him during one of his shoots Ranveer revealed that he went home after getting a call from Deepika and when he saw her knew something wasn’t right. He revealed yet another incident when he felt helpless and called Deepika’s parents when he saw her crying copiously at the breakfast table.
