According to an report by Filmfare, actress Tara Sutaria has been roped in to play the main lead in the upcoming film ‘Aashiqui 3,’ opposite Kartik Aaryan. The ‘Aashiqui’ series is famous for its romantic genre and melodious music, and now Aaryan and Sutaria will spread love on the silver screen with their charismatic pairing.
The film is expected to go on floors next year in January and will be directed by Anurag Basu, who has an unconventional approach towards filmmaking, as evident in movies like ‘Kites’ and ‘Barfi!’ – which also won many awards. The much-awaited film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar’s ‘T-Series,’ which is also responsible for producing the previous parts of the franchise and credited for the huge success of the film and its music. The third part of ‘Aashiqui’ is currently in the pre-production stage.
Sutaria made her debut in Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year 2’ in 2019, which the latter describes as the “best debut she could ever get in Bollywood.” Tara was last seen in ‘Ek Villain
Returns,’ which performed averagely at the box office. The actress was dating Aadar Jain, but the two have reportedly parted ways months ago. ‘Aashiqui 3’ could be a game-changer for the Disney Channel girl, as the franchise has always received the best response from audiences, making ‘Aashiqui’ and ‘Aashiqui 2’ mega-hits and popular among the youth of the country.
While heartthrob Kartik Aaryan romanced Kiara Advani in his last film ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha,’ which was well-received by a strata of people and gained a semi-hit status at the box office.
