Karan Johar hosted show Koffee with Karan is known for fueling Bollywood rivalries. One of the ways he does this is by asking the actors creepy questions that put them on the spot. However, actors frequently let their deepest sentiments about their contemporaries to escape.
In one such incident, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor considered Sonkshi Sinha’s career as a housewife as an alternate career option.
Recently, a short clip made the rounds on the internet from the same event in different segments. During the segment, the host, Karan, asked Kareena about her opinion on Sonakshi Sinha’s alternative career, if not acting.
Without any hesitation, Kareena says that she sees Sonakshi as a housewife, and left Karan and Ranbir Kapoor in splits. Karan also said that Kareena is not giving any career advice to Sonakshi because she thinks she is the housewife type.
In the second segment, Sonakshi and Shahid Kapoor appeared on the show, and Karan asked the same question. Shahid took it upon himself to defend Sonakshi. He said that there’s a lot more that Sonakshi can be than just a housewife.
Reacting to the video, Reddit users started trolling Kareena, as she never watches her words before commenting on anyone.

One user wrote, “It has nothing to do with looking down on housewives. It’s about the intention of Kareena’s comment. She clearly did not say it in a positive way. That’s why everyone is coming to Sona’s defense. Not because everyone thinks housewives are not respectable but because Kareena’s comment was condescending.”
The second user wrote, “KJO is the aunty that instigates others to talk rubbish about people, like dig it out. Kareena is the aunty that talks rubbish about people.”
The third user wrote, “Kareena’s intent is clear. The way she doesn’t contradict Karan when he says “you’ve not given her a career only” shows that indeed that was her motive. To look down on Sonakshi. And they were all laughing. So yes shahid responded in the language they understood.”
