There is this new trend in Bollywood of remaking old songs and giving it a modern touch. In the process of remakes, many old soulful Bollywood songs are getting ruined and netizens are leaving no stone unturned to bash the remake song.

Same has happened with Masakali 2.0 featuring Marjaavaan Jodi Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria. The song is the remake of 2009 film Delhi 6 Masakali, composed by A R Rahman and sung by Mohit Chauhan. The song was a chartbuster a decade back and the new remade song is nowhere near it.

Many Bollywood biggies including A R Rahman, lyricist Prasoon Joshi, and director Delhi 6 Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra bashed the remade song and expressed their anger.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel has stepped forward to slam Masakali 2.0 makers. Rangoli took to her Twitter and showed support to A R Rahman. She tweeted an image of a man burning up and it said, “the strongest man is he who is able to control his anger.”

Rangoli who is known for her outspokenness, called out the makers of Masakali 2.0 and mentioned that there is nothing worst for an artist that his work being played with.

Talking about Masakali 2.0, the remake song has been composed by Tanishk Bagchi. It is sung by Tulsi Kumar and Sachet Tandon. The video of the song features Sidharth Malhotra grooving to the beats with Tara Sutaria.

While singer Tulsi Kumar has backed the remake, many Bollywood celebs, and the netizens didn’t seem happy with the new song.

The Twitterattis are leaving no chance to troll the song and call out the makers of Masakali 2.0 for ruining a soulful classic song.
