Rajkumar Hirani’s most disappointing creation “Dunki” couldn’t earn as much as SRK’s previous movies “Pathaan” and “Jawan” did. But it was quite an entertaining movie and people enjoyed it because of the songs. The movie indeed has great songs. Many of them are trending on social media like “Lutt Putt Gaya” and some others. There are a total of 8 songs in the movie, created by legends from the music industry. Javed Akhtar is one of them. He had contributed to one song, but for that he got a very high amount.
The song “Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se”, released on December 1, 2023, got millions of views after release. The lyrics of the song are so touchy that everyone will get emotional after listening to it and its credit goes to Javed Akhtar. He wrote lyrics for this song for Rajkumar Hirani’s Creation. He was given an amount of Rs. 25 lakh just to write one song for the movie.
On a talk show Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaaon, he talked about the movie Dunki and said that he generally doesn’t write lyrics for just one song. When the director asked him to write one song, he refused but later on he put some terms in front of Hirani. The director agreed to all of them and this is how “Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se” was created. But later on, Javed Akhtar politely gave all credit for the song’s massive hit to Rajkumar Hirani, saying that the song was a hit because of Rajkumar Hirani.
On that show he also talked about his writing process. He mentioned that he has cried several times while writing lyrics for any specific song. In recent days, he was trending on social media due to various comments he made about Salman Khan, Sholay etc.
