Janhvi Reprises Nayanthara’s Role In Hindi Remake Of Kolamavu Kokila

Janhvi Kapoor’s next film is an official Hindi remake of the 2018 South hit film Kolamavu Kokila that originally had Nayanthara in the lead role. This Hindi remake would be produced by Aanand L Rai under his banner of Color Yellow Productions.

Janhvi Kapoor was seen at home enjoying her COVID 19 induced quarantine lockdown break with sister Khushi Kapoor and father Boney Kapoor. Also she is proving that even though the Nepotism debate in the B town might have shown her in a bad light, but certainly it has not affected her work spirit and zealousness.

After delivering an exemplary performance as one of the first Indian women Air Force pilots in the Netflix film “Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl” the actress is gearing up and getting ready for her next releases. But yes also in the meantime, Janhvi has signed her next project for the upcoming year as well.

According to a leading digital media website report, Janhvi would be seen stepping into the shoes of the iconic Tollywood actor Nayanthara with the Hindi remake of the hit south film of 2018 “Kolamavu Kokila”.

The Dhadak debutant actor has signed her next film with producer Anand L Rai’s production house, Colour Yellow Productions and will be doing a movie under that banner. As per the news media reports, this film would be a crime based comedy.

This untitled upcoming film under Anand L Rai’s banner is a Hindi remake of Nayanthara’s film Kolamavu Kokila. The 2018 hit film was directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The main plot of the film majorly revolved around the story of a young girl who gets deeply involved in a drugs racket to earn quick money.

Janhvi Kapoor will be seen getting into the character of the young girl whose situation and circumstances eventually get her entire family entangled and mixed up into the drug smuggling business which later follows an entire series of unusual twists and turns, complications that make the film an interesting one to watch.

Meanwhile, the currently untitled film is Janhvi’s next after the COVID 19 pandemic. The film will be going on floors in February 2021. It will be directed by Siddharth Sengupta, whose directorial debut will be with this movie.

Earlier, Siddharth has worked as an assistant director with films like Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008), Agneepath (2012), and Heartless (2014) and also co-directed a mini-series titled The Great Escape.
