There have been speculations about whether or not Farhan Akhtar’s film Jee Le Zaraa is happening. As per our knowledge, the much-awaited road trip will take place and will go on floors next year. Lately, Alia Bhatt also shared an update on Jee Le Zaraa and now sources reveal Ishaan Khattar has come on board. The Dhadak actor will join the powerhouse actresses Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt.
Earlier it was reported that Vicky Kaushal was signed as the male lead in the road trip drama starring his wife Katrina Kaif. However, the reports were dismissed and we know that Shahid Kapoor’s brother would team up with A-lister actresses.
A source close to the development said: “It’s been a while since Ishaan came onboard for the project, and they are waiting for the right time to make the official announcement. It’s an important role. Meanwhile, full fledged pre-production work will start next year, closer to the filming date.”
Last year Farhan Akhtar announced his next film titled Jee Le Zaraa. Ever since the movie was announced fans went gaga knowing about the girls’ road trip. It is one of the most awaited and promising upcoming films in Bollywood. Written by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti the flick is produced under Excel Entertainment.
Ishaan will be teaming up with Katrina again for this project. They have worked together for their upcoming film Phone Bhoot which also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi. It is a horror comedy drama set to release in November. Ishaan will also feature on Koffee With Karan 7 to chat with host Karan Johar. He will appear on the show with his Phone Bhoot co-actors.
For the unversed, the Khaali Peeli actor has also worked with Alia Bhatt in the 2016 film Udta Punjab. He didn’t appear on screen as he worked with the backend team. He was an assistant director in Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor’s starrer film.
