Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’ and Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2,’ two of the most-awaited films by popular actors this year, finally hit theatres on August 11th. The box office collections for Day 3 have been released, with ‘Gadar 2’ surpassing its tally while ‘OMG 2’ is facing some struggles.
Gadar2 starrer Sunny Deol:
As reported by Sacnilk.com, Gadar 2 earned an estimated 52 crore net (official data awaited) within India on its third day, making it the second biggest first Sunday of all time for a Bollywood title. The film had an amazing opening weekend! It made approximately 135 crores net, which is the second biggest of all time.
Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2, released 23 years after Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, the romantic-action drama set during the partition of India. The movie created history at the box office and was released in 2001.
OMG 2 Starrer Akshay Kumar:
As per reports from Sacnilk.com, early estimates stated that OMG 2 had a net collection of 17.50 crores on its third day in India. The third opening weekend of the movie is 43.50 crores net. The movie was released in cinema halls and serves as a sequel to the earlier Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar.
