Although Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana has yet to be formally confirmed, it has been making news for quite some time. Director Nitesh Tiwari recently began filming the film in Mumbai, and now photographs of Lara Dutta and Arun Govil from the set have emerged.
Zoom recently received some images from the Ramayana sets that featured Lara Dutta and Arun Govil in their respective roles. Govil, well-known for his role as Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana, will play King Dashrath in the film. On the other side, Lara Dutta will appear as Kaikeyi.
In the leaked photographs, Arun Govil can be seen talking with some young boys on set. He had a long beard and wore a mukut on his head. Lara Dutta was seen wearing a saree adorned with heavy gold jewellery.
However, leaked photos have made Ranbir Kapoor’s followers unhappy and disappointed. While some urged the filmmakers to take measures on site, others advised everyone not to disseminate leaked photos/videos. “@niteshtiwari22 sir, pls limit mobile usage on sets! Fans like us are spreading viral images from the #Ramayana movie. “Please take strict action against leaks (sic),” one fan remarked.
Ranbir Kapoor will play Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. Sai Pallavi will play Sita. Before Sai, Ranbir’s actress-wife, Alia Bhatt, was in talks for the role of Sita, but she stepped out owing to scheduling conflicts.
