Gadar 2 has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of 2023. The film is inching towards the 500 crore mark at the box office. Anil Sharma’s directorial has been running strong even in the fourth week. Esha Deol, who is the step-sister of Sunny Deol has now reacted to Gadar 2 success and Sunny Deol’s work in the film.
Let us tell you that the Deols have strained family dynamics due to Dharmendra’s two marriages. It is said that Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol don’t share a cordial bond with Dharmendra’s second wife Hema Malini and her daughters – Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. Hema and her daughters were not even a part of Sunny Deol’s son’s marriage that happened recently.
However, it seems like the Deols are trying to fix their complicated relationships. Talking about the success of Gadar 2, Esha said, “I am very happy that Gadar 2 has got such a solid response. Even single screens have seen a major boost. The audience is loving the film. Even I liked the film a lot. Be it Sunny Bhaiya’s work or Ameesha or even the new couple also.”
Esha also recently held a special screening of Gadar 2 where she and Sunny Deol made a rare public appearance together.
Even Hema Malini was recently spotted visiting a PVR to watch Gadar 2. As she stepped out of the theatre, she appreciated the film and Sunny Deol’s performance. She said, “Gadar dekh kar aayi hun. Bohut hi accha laga. Jo expected tha vaise hi tha. Bohut hi interesting hai. Aisa lag raha tha ki 70s aur 80s ka us zamane ka film ke jaisa ek daur hai. Us daur ko leke aaye hai Anil Sharma ji. Unhone bohut beautiful direction kiya hai (I just watched Gadar. I liked it a lot. What was expected, it’s exactly that. It is very interesting. It felt like a film from the 70s and 80s era. Anil Sharma has shown that era, it has been directed beautifully).”
Hema then added, “Sunny is superb, Utkarsh, Anil Sharma ji’s son unhone ne bhi bohut sundar acting kiya hai. Jo nayi ladki hai, woh bhi bohut acchi hai. Yeh picture dekh kar ek dum rasjtra k prati jo bhav hone chahiye, patriotism, woh bohut hi hai. Muslim k prati jo bhai chara hona chahiye, us vishay ko last mein leke aaye hai (Utkarsh, Anil Sharma ji’s son, has also done beautiful acting. The new girl is also very good. After watching the film, the patriotism that should be felt towards the country is there. Brotherhood towards the Muslim has also been shown towards the end).”
