Bobby Deol Is Neither Ranbir Kapoor’s Stepbrother Nor Mute In ‘Animal,’ Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga Debunks Fan Theories

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has dismissed fans' assertions and remained notably secretive about Bobby Deol's character, hinting at intriguing surprises within the movie.

After the release of the trailer for the movie ‘Animal,’ fans formulated intriguing theories. Among these theories was the speculation that Bobby Deol, who didn’t utter a word in the trailer, was portraying a mute villain. Additionally, some speculated that he might be Ranbir Kapoor’s stepbrother.

However, these assumptions were quashed by the film’s director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, during an interview with the Great Andhra YouTube channel. When asked about these fan theories, the director refuted the claims but remained tight-lipped about Bobby Deol’s character.

Here are a few fan theories:

“The father-son relationship is pivotal in the movie. I have a feeling that Ranbir’s character might be the one to kill his father. ‘Animal’ might represent a persona within Ranbir.”

“It would be a wild twist if Ranbir’s character ends up killing his father in the climax, and then the screen fades to black with the movie title, ‘#Animal,’ appearing. The initial scene in the ‘#AnimalTrailer’ might actually be the ending scene, where he loses control and commits the act.”

“Here’s my theory: What if Ranbir Kapoor is the antagonist, and Bobby Deol plays the protagonist?”

“The swastika seen behind Ranbir sparked a theory in my mind. I believe Sandeep is hinting that the film’s violence will match that of Adolf Hitler’s during World War II. It’s going to be intense and chilling!”

Bobby Deol’s character has piqued fans’ curiosity, and details about his role remain scarce. However, the actor shed light on how he landed the role in the film during a press meet.

He mentioned, “I had a photograph when I wasn’t involved in much work, but I used to participate in the Celebrity Cricket League. There was a picture taken where I was looking into the distance. They showed me that and said they wanted to cast me because of the expression in that particular photograph. I thought, ‘Alright, a day’s work finally paid off.'”

The movie, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna in pivotal roles, is scheduled to hit theaters on December 1.
