Undoubtedly, Diljit Dosanjh is one of the most talented actors in the Bollywood and Punjabi film industry. After his grand debut in Bollywood with the 2016 Udta Punjab till the 2019 blockbuster hit Good Newwz, the Punjabi Munda has surely come a long way. A few weeks back, hearsay suggested that filmmaker Shaadi Ali has offered his upcoming venture to the actor. However, the latest update is Diljit Dosanjh quits Shaadi Ali’s film.
According to the reports, Shaadi Ali’s upcoming film was based on male pregnancy and Diljit had allegedly signed it. But the actor now has second thoughts and has decided to back off.
Diljit’s fans are happy that he will once again be starring in a film on a taboo topic but it seems like they have to wait.
A source close to the development says, “The film in question is titled Papa Ji Pet Se Hai and is to be directed by Shaad Ali, who had worked with Diljit in Soorma (2018). When Shaad narrated its script, Diljit had loved it and agreed to work in the film in principle.”
Shaadi Ali’s team is gearing up and will start working on the film as soon as Diljit returns from San Francisco. He is in San Francisco ever since the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The source adds that now Diljit Dosanjh wants to quit the film as he no more interested in doing it. The actor is reportedly not answering the calls of the director or the producer. As a result, the project will be put on a back burner for a while.
For the unversed, the film is an adaptation of a Punjabi film titled Munda Hi Chahida. However, it is not a Hindi remake.
Neither of the parties has reacted to the news. And fans are still hoping that Diljit Dosanjh will impress them on the big screen once again.
