Dil Bechara has created many new records and set fresh untouchable benchmarks with its remarkable digital success on the globally renowned VOD OTT streaming platform Disney + Hotstar and now in the midst of this ongoing global COVID 19 pandemic which is still in full force even now, the makers and production house have taken a decision to release Dil Bechara in theatres since the government has given the green signal and permission to the theatres in Mumbai but only with 50% of the seating arrangement and also only half the working staff from the 15th October 2020.

As per the news reports of a leading newspaper publication a trade source close to the film was quoted saying, “After the film’s phenomenal success on Disney + Hotstar, it was decided that whenever theatres open, the love story will be formally released on the big screen as a tribute to the actor.”

A source was quoted saying to a leading digital entertainment website that if the theatres get a good response then the other films would also be released. Where explaining the same he told, “Indoo Ki Jawaani was earlier slated to hit screens on October 2, but will now be an early November offering. It is subject to change depending on the reopening of cinemas in Maharashtra and other major centres, and the footfalls in the first few weeks. The makers of Manoj Bajpayee and Diljit Dosanjh’s Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari are considering a theatrical run in the third week of November in addition to its ZeePlex premiere”.

Dil Bechara marks the directorial debut of famous B Town casting director Mukesh Chhabra who during an interview with a leading digital entertainment website told, “In Dil Bechara, he (Sushant Singh Rajput) is playing a college student. He had to look the charm. Sushant lost a lot of weight for the film. His character is a Tamilian, so he learnt a bit of the language as needed. Plus, you have seen he has only one leg in the trailer. He worked very hard on the body language. Sushant was an extremely hard-working actor. He always put in a lot.” He added, “I had heard a lot about Jamshedpur from people like Imtiaz Ali. Also, I wanted a non-metro city that was very cosmopolitan. Jamshedpur has people from all parts of India. It is also quite pretty. I loved Vikramaditya Motwane’s Udaan and how he had used the landscape of Jamshedpur. I felt it was perfect for my film”.
