Dhaakad’s Failure Didn’t Stop Kangana Ranaut From Next Project ‘Emergency’

Kangan Ranaut gears up for next project Emergency after Dhaakad’s failure

Kangana Ranaut proves to have a don’t give up attitude, as she gears up for her next film following Dhakkad’s failure. Kangana Ranaut proudly donned her directorial hat again for the next project after receiving major backlash for Dhaakad. Her recent movie miserably failed at the box office, from zero audiences to no shows in just three days of its release. However, this doesn’t stop our boss lady to come up with new projects. Dhaakad girl didn’t choose to sit back but rather opted for the director’s chair as she began her next film “Emergency”.

Getting in the director’s shoes for the second time after Manikarnika, Kangana Ranaut took up Instagram on Monday to share stories from the preparation of her next project. In the picture, she is seen in a white salwar-kurta, completing the look with a green dupatta. Kangana and her team members appeared to be doing rekey at a location. Sharing the stories she wrote: “Rekee day one… don’t mess with me is my resting pose.” She shared another picture and captioned it, “Of all the roles I play I am most comfortable in being a filmmaker. #Emergency.”

Kangana had earlier cleared the air on the title stating that the movie name “Emergency” is not related to Indira Gandhi’s biopic. She had announced the political drama film last year and clarified that: “It is not the biopic of Indira Gandhi. It is a grand period film. To be precise, it is a political drama that will help my generation to understand the socio-political landscape of current India.”

“Emergency” is written by the same writer Ritesh Shah, who penned Dhaakad as well. In previous works, he has credits for Pink, Kahaani, Kahaani 2, and Rocky Handsome. Well talking about the director Kangana will be directing a movie for the second time. Her first directorial was “Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi”, but unfortunately she was badly trolled. Hoping to deliver a big hit after her recent movie Dhaakad flopped.

Kangana had written on Koo last year, “Pleased to wear director’s hat again, after working on Emergency for more than a year I finally figured no one can direct it better than me. Collaborating with fabulous writer Ritesh Shah, even if it means sacrificing on various acting assignments I am determined to do it, my excitement is high. This is going to be a tremendous journey, my leap to another league #Emergency #Indira.”

On the work front, the Himachali girl has Tejas and Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda in her pipeline.
