Deepika Padukone, representing India as a Global Ambassador, has attended the Gala red carpet for three consecutive years. However, sources suggest she will not be attending this year’s event due to scheduling conflicts.
Insiders have revealed that Deepika Padukone is currently engrossed in shooting Singham 3 and gearing up for the release of Kalki 2898 AD in May. Despite the anticipation surrounding her first child with Ranveer Singh, fans were eager for Deepika to make a grand entrance at the MET Gala.
As quoted by Pinkvilla the source revealed, “Deepika Padukone has been a regular on the Met Gala Red Carpet. It is only natural for fans to anticipate her appearance at this year’s Met Gala, especially considering she is one of India’s biggest global brand ambassadors. However, Deepika is in the midst of filming for Singham 3 which is slated to release later this year along with Kalki 2898 AD which is slated to release in May, both of which coincide with this year’s Met Gala. She will therefore not be attending this year’s event.”
For the unversed, In 2017, Deepika Padukone made her debut at the MET Gala wearing a chic slip gown designed by Tommy Hilfiger. On the work front, Deepika Padukone is set to appear alongside Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, and Akshay Kumar in Rohit Shetty’s “Singham 3.” Additionally, she is slated to star alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan in “Kalki 2898 AD.”
