To make this more special and sweet for her fans and herself, Deepika marked the 13 glorious years of her debut Bollywood film “Om Shanti Om” on social media by changing her name to ShantiPriya on both Instagram and Twitter.
The reincarnation drama love revenge saga film starring the Raees (2016) fame Badshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan in the lead and directed by Happy New Year (2016) fame ace choreographer / director Farah Khan, released exactly 13 years back on 9th November 2007 and also had the ensemble star cast of Shreyas Talpade, Arjun Rampal, Kirron Kher, Bindu Desai among others.
Not only to mark the 13 successful years of OSO, did she change her name to ShantiPriya, but also changed her display picture on both Twitter and Instagram as well where her official display picture now features a still of herself and Shah Rukh Khan.
Om Shanti Om in 2007 was a hugely successful and commercially hit at the box office. Red Chillies Entertainment also marked the 13 years of the film through their Twitter post on the official handle where their tweet caption read, “Here’s to an iconic film, which taught us that true love and dreams travel beyond time! Celebrating #13YearsOfOmShantiOm and its magic”.
Deepika had won the Filmfare award for the Best Female Debut for Om Shanti Om. While this was her first film opposite Shah Rukh Khan, the most loved and adored reel life lead pair were once again seen together dazzling their fans with their performances and sizzling chemistry on screen in Farah Khan’s Happy New Year (2016) and Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express (2013).
