After the huge box office success of Animal, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor grabbed the headlines after it was reported that the actor would next be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s film, Ramayan. Apart from Ranbir, it was also reported that Sai Pallavi and KGF star Yash will also be joining the cast in lead roles as Sita and Ravan while Ranbir will be seen essaying the role of lord Ram.
Apart from them, it was previously rumored that Gadar 2 actor Sunny Deol will also be joining the cast and will play the role of lord Hanuman in the film. The same was recently confirmed by a source who told Pinkvilla, “Sunny Deol is all charged up to have gotten once in a lifetime opportunity to play Lord Hanuman. It’s a casting made in heaven, as Lord Hanuman stands for Strength, and who better than Sunny Deol in the present times to play the part with utmost conviction”.
As per the report, the film will be a trilogy while Sunny Deol will be seen in a cameo role in the first part of the trilogy however, he will have full-screen presence in the second and the third part of the trilogy. The source added, “The makers are confident that after Dara Singh, it’s Sunny Deol who would be synonymous with Lord Hanuman in modern times.”
Ramayan Cast
As per the latest reports and the buzz, it is believed that Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as lord Ram alongside South actress Sai Pallavi as goddess Sita while KGF star Yash will be playing Ravan. Apart from Sunny Deol, it is believed that his brother Bobby Deol will essay the role of Kumbkaran while actress Lara Dutta will be seen as Kaikeyi. Reportedly, actor Vijay Sethupathi has been approached for the role of Vibhishan.
