Ayushmann Khurrana’s hunger for doing the best films enable him to do disruptive cinema

Ayushmann Khurrana even after the seventh consecutive hit with "Bala" is in no mood of slowing down. He is a recent interview revealed how he wants to keep doing the "best films".

It has been hardly 6 days since the release of Bala starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam, and Bhumi Pednekar, and it has been well received by the audience. Bala is doing so well at the box-office that it is expected to cross Rs 100-crore mark in a few days. Ayushmann holds an enviable track record of where nine hits out of 13 releases are a hit. He in a recent interview spoke about his successful run in showbiz and choice in script and content.

He said, “I have a lot of hunger to do the best films. It is something that drives me, motivates me to seek out good, new, disruptive cinema and better myself as an actor. they say you learn a lot through your successes and this current phase has told me that I should always push the content envelope and pick and back edgy stories because somehow my brand of cinema has become synonymous with something that’s a little left of centre.”

Ayushmann also spoke about how he feels amazing that his films are being loved by the audience all over the country. He also believes that his box office run is a responsibility given to him to keep doing better work and entertain the people of our country. According to him, this “result is a huge validation that my choices are a perfect match to what audiences want to see in theatres.”

He also revealed that it is a great zone for him to occupy as he has the freedom to express himself as an artist without the pressure of playing safe to deliver success. He also stated that if the people today equate his kind of cinema to good cinema it matters to him. Ayushmann Khurrana will also next be seen in films like “Gulabo Sitabo” and “Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan.”
