The actor was recently being asked about his next inspiration for the film and his instantaneous reply was Neeraj Chopra.

“I’m constantly inspired by real people who do extraordinary things. Right now, I’m hugely inspired by Neeraj Chopra and what this youth icon has achieved on the world stage and made our nation incredibly proud,” he said.

“The resolve and the nerves of steel that he showcased at the Olympics to win gold for India needs to be saluted. I would love to play him in a biopic if it’s made in the near future and if Neeraj chooses to not play himself on screen” he added further.

Neeraj Chopra became an overnight sensation with his Javelin throw that got India a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics this year. On being approached about his biopic, the young athlete revealed that his first priority remains his sport and expressed his desire to win more gold medals first for the country.

“If I can win more medals, I think then the movie too will be a hit. Right now, my entire focus is on sports, I haven’t thought about Bollywood,” he further added.

While Ayushmann has always considered himself a seeker of good films, upon being asked about what makes him choose a specific film over another, the actor said,

“Stories that move us, entertain us, spark a conversation. I love stories that people can relate to, are inspiring, and makes us ponder. I have actively sought such amazing scripts and have been fortunate enough to find some of these brilliant gems in my career so far,”
