Ayushmann Khurrana Credits The Success Of Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan To THESE Actors

Ayushmann Khurrana mentioned a few actors and films that tried to break the stereotypes faced by the LGBTQ+ community.

Ayushmann Khurrana is known for acing any unconventional role with perfection. The actor has done many films on topics that are considered taboo in our society and the recent feather to his hat is Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. The film focuses on the homosexual relationship between Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar and the odds they face when they come out to their families.

As of today, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is doing great at the Box Office and not only that but also is appreciated by the audience. Everyone is  loving the rom-com movie which conveys a serious topic with so much ease and laughter.

Speaking of Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Ayushmann feels the film has been successfully made, released and accepted is because even before the same-sex relationship became legal in India, many actors backed this subject and gave some brilliant work on the subject. He asked to credit those actors and films first.

Ayushmann said, The fact that ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ is a success today is because the path was made for it by others. Many before me have toiled hard to make the path smoother. We have to realise and acknowledge the monumental work that was done by some of the finest actors of Indian cinema much before me.”

Ayushmann further mentioned films that brilliantly took on the stereotypes faced by the LGBTQ+ community.

He said, “Films like ‘Kapoor And Sons’, Karan Johar’s ‘Bombay Talkies’ and Sonam Kapoor’s ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ have all depicted and handled same-sex relationships with profound thought, dignity, and sensitivity.”

Ayushmann later went on to say that Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is celebrating success today because of all the actors and directors who had taken it on themselves to promote such a topic in our country.
