Reportedly, Fox Studios have asked Ayan Mukerji to cut short the run-time of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra. Read below to know more.

The Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra is facing roadblocks along the way. The film helmed by Ayan Mukerji earlier struggled to finalise its release date. However, when the makers announced the release date, the COVID-19 pandemic struck and all plans went for a toss. As per the latest reports, Fox Studios have asked Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji to cut short the run-time of Brahmastra.

As per the reports, the Fox studios have asked the makers of Brahmastra to cut short the run-time around two and a half hours. The reason behind doing so is to get maximum showcasing in the multiplexes and in the single screens. This is beneficial from a return on investment perspective.

The film original run-time is 3 hours and the Fox studios are reportedly requesting to cut it short by at least half-an-hour.

For the unknown, Brahmastra is made on a big budget promising a never seen before cinematic experience. It is also among the much-awaited films of the upcoming year.

Speaking of the film, it is an action adventure consisting of three parts. According to the sources, the director of the Ayan is currently working on the other two parts of the film as well.

Actors Ranbir Kapoor and Ali Bhatt will first time share the screen space. The real life love birds will reportedly play reel-life couple in the movie.

Apart from Alia and Ranbir, the film also features Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role. It also stars Naagin fame actress Mouni Roy.

For the unknown, Brahmastra went on floors over 2 years ago. Since then, it has been grabbing headlines for constantly delaying the release dates.

The much-awaited film was to release on December 4, 2020. However, now it has been pushed to 2021 release.
