Ayan Mukerji Reacts To Receiving Criticism On Dialogues In Brahmastra

Brahmastra 2: Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra is undoubtedly one of the most hyped and much-anticipated films of the year. With almost 10 years spent in the making, the film has now finally been released in the theatres. However, despite earning great numbers at the box office the film was criticized by the audience for its not-so-impressive writing and script, opening up on the same filmmaker Ayan Mukerji said, “It may have sounded better on paper than it came across to certain people.”

Amidst much buzz and excitement, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra was released in the theatres on 9th September. Ever since its announcement, the film had created buzz for various reasons, be it the much-anticipated cameos or the highly appreciated VFX. However, many critics and netizens were seen criticizing the film for its poor writing and dialogue.

Opening up on the same Brahmastra director and writer, Ayan Mukerji told IndianExpress, “I thought this would give the film a soul. That the greatest energy comes from within you and the greatest form of energy is when you are in a state of love. It may have sounded better on paper than it came across to certain people.”

Talking about his song Kesariya Ayan added, “When Kesariya came out, for the first 48 hours all we heard was, ‘Oh God why did they do this with love storiyan.’ But the song continued to be a blockbuster, and nobody talks about it today. So point noted. But India has a diverse audience.”

Ayan Mukerji Reveals Release Date And Plot Details Of “Brahmastra 2”

Ayan Mukerji recently announced the release date of the film and other interesting details about the plot of the second installment of Brahmastra. Ayan revealed that the first part of the film almost took approx 5 years, while the second installment of the film might take approx 3 years, so the fans can now expect the release of the second installment to be sometime in 2025.

Ayan told Indianexpress, “We will go on floors the day we are rested from part one. The core team comes together and we say, ‘Ok we want to make part two and want it to release in 2025 December and we are aiming for that’. And then we are on floors”.

Ayan Mukerji Confirms Spin-Off Of SRK’s Character In Brahmastra

Apart from Brahmastra 2, Ayan also revealed that he has been planning to make a separate spinoff of Shah Rukh Khan’s character Mohan Bhargava who is the wielder of Vanarastra in the film. Confirming SRK’s spinoff, Ayan told IndianExpress, “Before the fans were saying it, we were also saying that ourselves. When we were shooting the sequence in 2019, we were also saying on sets. As we discovered the personality of the scientist, we said, ‘Yaar, we have to do stuff. We have to do the origins story of the scientist!”
