After a long wait, the 2023 biggest blockbuster hit, Animal was finally released on the OTT platform Netflix on 26 January. The film created a huge buzz after it was announced that the extended-cut version of the film would be released on OTT, which will apparently feature the “kiss” between Ranbir and Bobby which was not featured in the theatrical release of the film.
However, unfortunately for many fans, there was “no” such kissing scene between the two actors. Reportedly, there were no extended scenes in the film, since Netflix has opted not to feature any uncensored version to avoid any legal complications. As per the reports, the OTT version of Animal on Netflix same as its theatrical release, with no added scenes.
Disappointed with the same many netizens took to X/Twitter and complained about the extended cut version of the film. A user wrote, “Animal extended cut is a scam lol Original runtime 3H23M Netflix runtime is 3H24M”. Another user wrote, “Really disappointed with @imvangasandeep for not releasing #Extended Version of #AnimalOnNetflix. Really Disappointed #SandeepReddyVanga Please Release the Deleted Scenes”.

For the unversed, in an interview with Galatta Plus, Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that there was a kissing scene between Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol which will be covered and featured in the extended cut version on Netflix India. Animal was released on Netflix on 26 January.
