The major story of the film is revolving around a brash and spontaneous film director played by Anurag, who kidnaps the daughter of the renowned movie star which is going to be essayed by Anil in the film. The film will be strongly focusing on just how the film maker shoots the restless and desperate search of the actor for his only daughter in real time for his next film project.

The twitter banter originally started with Anil Kapoor congratulating the entire team of Delhi Crime on Twitter for winning the International Emmys 2020 for best drama series where Anil tagged his Dil Dhadakne Do (2015) co-star Shefali Shah and also said that how it feels amazing and great to see Indian actors getting international recognition and there he was also seen referring to the Oscar victory of his film Slumdog Millionaire (2009). Kapoor made the tweet with the hashtag, #WelcometoHollywood.

Giving his honest reaction to the tweet, Anurag replied, “Nice to see some deserving people get international recognition. Waise, aapka Oscar kidhar hain? No? Achha… nomination?”.

Anil quickly replied to the tweet by posting the picture of him holding the Oscar and said, “The closest you have come to an Oscar is watching Slumdog Millionaire win Oscars on TV. #TumseNaHoPayega”.

This was like a series of tweets to and fro between both of them where then Anurag quickly responded to Anil’s tweet by saying, “Says the k-k-k-ing of hand-me-down films. Weren’t you the second choice for this film also?” The filmmaker talked about the fact that how the Badshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan was the first choice for Kapoor’s role in the Oscar winning movie.
