Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been basking the success of their latest film Brahmastra. Post the release of the much-awaited movie the real-life couple was rumored to pair together in a rom-com movie. The duo was said to share the screen again in their next film. However, coming close to such alleged news Ranbir and Alia have finally given an update about their next rom-com movie. Read on to know if it is happening.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt collaborated for the first time for Brahmastra. During the shooting, their love grew up and they got married before the release of the film. The real-life couple was never featured in any film together. Kapoor and Bhatt made their first big screen appearance in Ayan Mukerji helmed Brahmastra. Recently, the latest buzz around them reported that the Brahmastra couple has signed another film together which would be a romantic comedy.
In a recent interview, Ranbir and Alia both spoke about their next film together and broke their silence on the reports of their next rom-com. Speaking to India Today, Ranbir said, “Alia and me have a real life comedy going on. I don’t know if we need to do a film together.” Alia Bhatt added, “Yes, I have heard there is some rumour that we are doing a rom-com together. But our next film together will be part 2 for Brahmastra. Ayan is so protective of me and Ranbir together that I don’t know if he will let us do anything apart from the Brahmastra films. But like Ranbir said, our life is only a rom-com so there you go.”
This means the couple would be next seen together in Brahmastra Part Two – Dev. However, Alia mentioned, “things may change in the interim as Brahmastra 2 is likely to take some time in production. You never say never. If something interesting comes up, we will see.”
On the work front, Alia and Ranbir both respectively have a great lineup of upcoming projects. Ranbir will feature in Luv Ranjan’s next with Shraddha Kapoor. He will also pair opposite Rashmika Mandanna in Animal. Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, has completed the shooting of Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. She also has an international project with Gal Gadot.
