The entertainment industry came to a screeching halt in the month of March when the lockdown got imposed to curb the spread of the COVID-19 disease. The shooting of many films was called-off because of which the release dates of these projects got postponed too. Bollywood’s superstar Akshay Kumar who is known for doing several films in a year also has many films in his kitty for 2020 and the upcoming year. However, because of the on-going pandemic, his plans were dampened.
Speaking of Akshay Kumar’s film, Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi was slated to release in the month of March but the makers had to postpone the release date of the movie due to the nationwide lockdown. Another one of Akshay’s much-awaited film of 2020 titled Laxmmi Bomb will be directly released on an OTT platform, skipping the theatrical release.
The Kesari actor also had Nikkhil Advani and Vashu Bhagnani’s spy thriller Bell Bottom in his kitty. However, pertaining to the on-going crisis, the actor’s schedule also was affected along with that of the film. Meanwhile, some reports state that post the lockdown, the first film that Akshay Kumar will begin working on is Bell Bottom. The reports also stated that the actor may fly to London in July post the lockdown, to kick-start the shooting of the film.
Bell Bottom will be a period-thriller about a spy and the poster of the same has hyped up the excitement of the fans.
During the lockdown, Akshay Kumar shot a short-film with director R Balki. The film will be about the precautionary measure one will have to take once the lockdown gets lifted.
Akshay Kumar will also be seen in Prithviraj Chauhan biopic alongside Manushi Chillar.
