Akshay Could Be Seen Wearing A Saffron Dhoti And A Matching Shawl As He Sang The Aarti With Full Fervor While Standing Outside The Sanctum Sanctorum

Akshay Kumar celebrated his 56th birthday on Saturday, and on this special day, the actor visited Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar Temple where he performed aarti. However, the actor was not alone; he was accompanied by Team India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan.

During the shoot of “OMG 2,” Akshay had previously visited the temple, and in the movie, the actor played the role of Lord Shiva. Photos and videos of Akshay from the temple have gone viral on the internet. The duo visited the temple in the early hours of Saturday and participated in the morning aarti of Mahakal.

Akshay could be seen wearing a saffron dhoti and a matching shawl as he sang the aarti with full fervor while standing outside the sanctum sanctorum. Shikhar also performed the aarti in a white kurta pyjama.

On the work front, Akshay’s “OMG 2,” which was recently released, has performed quite well at the box office. Regarding his upcoming projects, the actor will soon be seen in “Mission Raniganj,” inspired by true events at Raniganj Coalfield and the heroic rescue mission led by late Jaswant Singh Gill. The film, which also stars Parineeti Chopra, is slated to hit theaters on October 6.

Furthermore, the actor will appear in “Housefull 5,” which will have a huge budget of Rs 400 crore. The producer of the film, during an interview with Variety, disclosed that he is currently investing Rs. 10 billion in UK-based projects featuring Bollywood A-listers. This includes “Housefull 5,” “Chandu Champion” directed by Kabir Khan and starring Kartik Aaryan, and “Baaghi 4” starring Tiger Shroff.
