Animal actress Rashmika Mandanna recently grabbed the headlines after a deepfake video of the actress went viral on social media. The fake video garnered a lot of attention from the netizens. Later addressing the deep fake video controversy the actress shared her thoughts expressing her concerns about the misuse of technology.
While after Rashmika Mandanna a morphed photo of actress Katrina Kaif is now making rounds on the internet. The photo is from the towel fighting sequence from the film Tiger 3. The towel photo of the actress was morphed. Sharing the picture a user tweeted, “I WILL NOT WASTE MONEY ON SALMAN KHAN”.
Rashmika Mandanna’s Deep Fake Video
For those unaware, a deepfake video featuring Rashmika has been circulating on social media platforms. The video shows a woman entering an elevator, but Rashmika’s face has been digitally altered onto the woman’s face. While some social media users were misled into believing that the woman was Rashmika, others correctly identified it as an AI-generated manipulated video, with the woman in the clip not being the actress.
Later addressing the issue, Rashmika Mandanna shared her concerns over the misuse of technology and AI. Taking to her Instagram stories she wrote, “I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online.” She added, “Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused.”
