Aamir Khan is credited as the ‘Mr. Perfectionist’ of Bollywood. With his masterclass acting skills and creative talent, the actor has starred in numerous critically acclaimed and super-hit films. He is also the founder of the ‘100 Crore,’ ‘200 Crore,’ and ‘300 Crore’ Clubs of Bollywood, with All Time Blockbuster Films like ‘Ghajini,’ ‘3 Idiots,’ and ‘Pk.’ The star has been honored with two of the highest civilian awards, ‘Padma Shri’ (2003) and ‘Padma Bhushan’ (2010), by the Government of India.
Recently, at News 18 India’s ‘Amrit Ratna Event 2023,’ the Dangal actor announced that he is going to produce and star in his next project, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par.’ “I’m starring in and producing this film, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par.’ We are going ten steps ahead with the theme of ‘Taare Zameen Par.’ That film made you cry; this one will make you laugh. In ‘Taare,’ I helped Darsheel’s character, but in this film, nine people, each with their own set of problems, will help me,” Aamir said. ‘Taare Zameen Par’ was a blockbuster creation released in 2007 and also marked Khan’s directorial debut in the industry, interestingly.
After his last released film, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha,’ Khan is on a break and is currently focusing on his production ventures under his banner, ‘Aamir Khan Productions.’ “I’m producing three films. There is ‘Laapata Ladies,’ directed by Kiran Rao, set to release on January 5. Another one features my son, Junaid Khan, and ‘Lahore 1947’ with Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol. I’m looking forward to them,” the actor added.
Aamir also stated that his son, Junaid, is interested in producing films and may come on board as a producer soon. “Like his grandfather (filmmaker Tahir Hussain), Junaid is entering the world of film production with ‘Pritam Pyaare,’ in which I have a cameo. He is also acting in ‘Maharaj.'”
‘Junaid Khan’ is gearing up for his power-packed Bollywood debut with a ‘Yash Raj Films’ banner movie, ‘Maharaj,’ in collaboration with the OTT giant ‘Netflix,’ while his father, ‘Aamir Khan,’ has scheduled his next ambitious project for release during the Christmas week in 2024.
