Alia Bhatt Expresses Her Desire To Discover THIS Genre In Her Web Series Debut

Alia Bhatt said that she is open to the idea of diving deep into the streaming platform and she is eager to explore one particular genre. Read below to know more.

Actress Alia Bhatt has emerged as a promising actor since her debut in 2012 with Student of The Year. The actress has done some noteworthy work in movies like Raazi, Highway, Dear Zindagi, and the recent one Gully Boy.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is looking forward to making her digital platform debut with the premiere of her upcoming movie Sadak 2, and she says that is open to the idea of diving deep into the streaming platform.

Alia even shared the genre on her wishlist that she would like to discover on the digital medium. The genre is- An investigative limited TV show.

Speaking of the recent success story of Sushmita Sen starrer Aarya, and Special Ops, the 27-year old actress said, “Actors not only in the West but over here also are working directly on the OTT. (Web) has created a huge opportunity for actors to showcase their talent.”

Alia further added, “If I’m offered something that I connect with, I would love to do an investigative type limited TV show. It would be quite interesting.”

Alia Bhatt starrer Sadak 2 will be skipping the traditional theatrical release and instead will be premiered on Disney Plus Hotstar.

With Sadak 2, Mahesh Bhatt has donned his director hat after almost two decades. The film will be a sequel to 1991 hit movie Sadak featuring Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt as the main leads.

The sequel features the star cast of the original movie alongside Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapoor.

The Udta Punjab actress said that the film has different love stories and also an element of thrill. She then mentioned that the villain is someone very different and totally unexpected.

Alia also unveiled the first poster of Sadak 2, that shows the Mount Kailash at the end of the long road. She also penned down a message for her father which explained her thoughts behind the poster.

She wrote, “Mount Kailash, the ageless mountain, has the footprints of gods and sages. It is the abode of the god of all gods, Lord Shiva. So do we really need anything else or actors in that sacred space? Since the beginning of time humanity found its shelter in Kailash. This is a place where all search ends. ‘Sadak 2’ is the road to love.”

On the work front, Alia Bhatt has Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi in her kitty.
